Weather you are new to the make up society or you are an oldie, I am sure you are familiar with the brand Colourpop. Not just because they have cute packaging, amazing and unique formula for their products, but also the affordable price. For me, I was first introduced to Colourpop through KathleenLights (my favourite youtuber) videos on youtube. I remember she was raving how amazing the lippie stix is and also the unique formula of the individual eyeshadows. I was most surprised by the price of the products she mentioned, $5 are you kidding me? Well now it turns out to be, no jokes.

I purchased these lippie stix through a third party because Colourpop does not offered international shipping yet, which they have right now. I believe the standard shipping fees from US to outside the country is around $25, if I am not mistaken. But they do offer free shipping if you purchase for more than $50 which I am more thrilled than ever because I love this brand so much. The reason why I named them the 'Originals' from Colourpop because I feel like the Lippie Stix are the one that brought people to the brand, I remember when the internet is crazy about them lippie stix and every single make up youtubers or bloggers are talking about them. Good old times, because people are more into liquid lipstick recently. But for me personally, I always prefer a lipstick instead of the ones that come out on a wand.

Let us jump right into the star of the show: Colourpop Lippie Stix $5

Starts from left to right: Too Sexy (discontinued :( ), TGIF, Topanga, Choker (discontinued :( ), Beawatch ( discontinued :( ), Lumiere, MoshPit

My sincere apology for including some shades that are discontinued by the brand, for I was not aware of that when the time I was preparing for the blog post. :(

Anyway, out of all the colour selection I currently owned, I will say Lumiere and MoshPit are my favourite. MoshPit is a beautiful reddish or warm tone brown lipstick that reminds me so much of Monica from Friends. I feel like whenever I wear it, I am living in the vibe. Normally, I will match the shade with a simple eye makeup look, like a matte light brown eyeshadow on the outer corner of my eye lids and some creamy vanilla shade covered on my whole eye lids, and all ready to go for a coffee. On this blog post, I dont feel like including more of the formula of the lippie stix because there are tons of review out there in the internet already, and I am fully agreed that the formula of lippie stix are amazing, long lasting and the pigmentation are on point. They are creamy and easy to apply no matter if it is in matte or satin finishing, they are comfortable to wear on your lip, it wont dry out your lip, and they can last you through half the day which I think is pretty awesome.
Although I might say that the lippie stix melt down quite easily if you store it in a room with higher temperature or you are living in Malaysia, it will get greasy and fragile when you apply it but all you need to do is to put it in your freezer for 3 to 4 hours and you are good. Shout out to my best friend who taught this trick. #Life saver

Lumiere is my all time favourite. Just like Kathleen said, this shade is amazing that it suits all kind of skin tones. Also, I found that Lumiere kind of appear differently on different skin tones, for fairer skin tone it goes on more of purple ish, and for darker skin tone it goes more rosey which I think it is so cool. But also, whenever I want a more rosey undertone shade like Lumiere, I will go for BaeWatch which has been discontinued so excuse me. Topanga is a pink shade with more of a coral undertone,  unfortunately I dont wear too much of coral lipsticks but occasionally I will put this on whenever I feel like. TGIF is the true cool tone red lipstick everyone should own one and it will look good on everyone. Overall, I think if you are looking for a affordable lipstick with good quality, I say why not try out the Lippie Stix although I am sure you have one in your vanity.
